My Question or Issue

Hi there,

 

I've been noticing for the last couple of weeks that some of the automatically downloaded podcast files are removed from the phone later (but they're still in the "Your episodes" list. All of the podcast episodes are automatically downloaded via the option in the settings and because of this they are automatically added to this list (I attached a picture of what episodes are downloaded like this).

I've also attached a picture where several episodes are on the list but they are not downloaded (but they should be). This picture was taken yesterday and the reason why this is important is because I've also attached a picture where one episode is not downloaded today but it was yesterday.

I've tried clean reinstalling Spotify but it did not solve the problem.

Just to confirm, have you made sure your phone has at least 1GB of free space? Keep in mind that low storage space might cause auto removal of downloads.

 

Also, do these episodes get removed again if you re-download them?

Thank you again for helping me! 

 

I have 125GB free storage left on my phone of the 256GB. According to the information in the Spotify app, the size of the downloaded media is 430MB, and the size of it's cache is 672MB right now.

 

As far as I can tell they are not deleted again after redownloading them again.

Since you mention it doesn't happen after re-downloading the episodes, this might be related to a sync issue. If you haven't already, we'd suggest toggling the auto-download setting for podcasts off, restarting the app, and then turning it back on to see if it helps.
